About our association

I represent an association of horse breeders, whose objective is the save of the Furioso North-Star breed.
If you did not know, this horse breed has a history of more than 150 years of existence, its germs being two full-breed English stallions: the Furioso and the North-Star.
If during the 80`s of the last century, the Furioso North-Star horse was blossoming in Romania, the year 1989 has constituted the beginning of the exodus, which was at its highest in the year 2000, when the famous stud farm of Bontida from Cluj county, the owner of the Furioso North-Star breed, with the purest horses in the world, has been moved, that is practically . And still, this horses were valuable...
Starting with the year 1991, a team of horse riders was founded at the stud farm of Bontida, the Sports Association of Jucu. They have tried with the results the obtained to prove the qualities of this horse. The ulterior exports to Hungary, Italy and Germany, have fully confirmed the quality of this animals.
The autumn of 1999 has drawn the sympathy of the horse breeders, but this time the private ones, of Furioso North-Star race altogether, this magnetism giving birth to the Association of the Furioso North-Star Horse Breeders, juridical system, which although recently formed, has a prodigious activity.
During the 20 months of existence, the Association has participated at the organization of some manifestations with horse character, it detains relations of collaboration with similar systems from Hungary and Germany, countries which have signed together with Romania an agree for the foundation of an International Federation for the breeding and the encouragement of the Furioso North-Star breed.
The activity of the Association has culminated together with the success of the conclusion of a partnership with an American organization Heifer Project International (HPI), which is financially supporting our activity, helping the association's activity to expand.
For the years to come, the main objective consists in the materialization of all breeder's of the Furioso North-Star race from Romania, which is the foundation of the International Federation, as well as the strengthening of the activities on the national scale.
The main idea consists in the formation of a center - the Furioso village or the "Horse Village" -, in the Village Jucu, Cluj county. Conceived under the shape of of a permanent camp, through the conditions that would be available to the horse lovers, manage of horse-back-ridding, varieties land with possibilities of horse-back-ridding and equestrians tourism, small holiday houses for of the accommodation visitors, stages of formation and preparation, all of these to offer the chance of direct contact with these beautiful creatures.
These things are however just projects, because of the insufficiency of material basis and due to a poor financement.
This is the purpose to which our association appeals through the Internet, to eventual passionate and horse lovers. 
Our offer to what you could do for this beautiful animal, are two big and full of love eyes, a warm and soft snout, and unforgettable moments spent in the company of a loyal friend.
